Uniform Guide

Uniforms

All students involved in instrumental music must have the appropriate uniforms for performances. The school provides most components of the uniform, but students must provide some pieces themselves. Students are permitted to use school uniforms at no cost. However, they liable for any lost items or damage exceeding normal wear and tear.

Concert Band & Orchestra

It is your responsibility to take excellent care of your concert uniform. Please hang it up as soon as you get home. Seniors and students not performing at graduation will return the uniform at the last concert in May. All students performing at graduation will return the uniform after the performance at graduation in June.

Additional Uniform Guidelines

  • No makeup, jewelry, or accessories (including nail polish or sunglasses) may be worn with the marching band uniform

  • Keep uniform clean and pressed at all times. Uniforms will be cleaned once or twice per season by the school.

  • The hat box is only for storage of your shako hat, garment bag, gauntlets, and hat sleeve. Gloves, valve oil, food, and other items must be kept elsewhere.

  • Due to variations in the weather, it is recommended that students have form fitting cold weather layers. Black or Solid dark colors are preferred. Performance fabrics are preferred for moisture wicking and warmth.

  • Color Guard will be given cleaning instructions each year.

  • Color Guard members will be given specific instructions on layers to be worn under guard uniforms each year.

Additional gloves and socks to replace lost or damaged items will be available during uniform inspections for $3 a pair. (Drumline Wristies are $10)

Many students find it beneficial to have extra black shirts, especially on weekends when the marching band has back-to-back events. Extra shirts can be purchased for $15 ($18 for sizes 2XL and 3XL) using the order form below. These will be available throughout the marching band season.
